Riverside Stage Classes
Fall 2010
Acting
Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30, Sept. 15 – Nov 17

The acting class for children ages 8-13, utilizes exercises, monologues, improvisation and theater games as students learn and rehearse a play. 
Taught by José de la Mar, a professional actor and graduate of Bucknell who directs many children’s productions at schools and community theaters.
$195 for the ten-week course.

Dance
Fridays, 6:00-7:30, Sept. 17 – Nov. 19

The dance class for children is a high-energy fusion of ballet, jazz, and lyrical/contemporary styles.  No prior training is required. 
Taught by Jason Kimmell, who has performed on Broadway, CBS-TV and the Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and who choreographs extensively in Baltimore and Annapolis.
$195 for the ten-week course.

Dance for Adults
Fridays starting at 7:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 17

No experience necessary. Taught by Jason Kimmell

Singing
Private voice lessons for children and adults, beginner to advanced

Taught by Ruth Hulett, whose students now perform on Broadway (Lion King, Ragtime, Mamma Mia!, Hair), film (Chicago), and opera stages here and abroad.  No matter what you sing, you can learn to sing your best, with healthy technique that will last a lifetime.  Think you can't sing?  Ever wanted to try?  You may be surprised how good you are.
45-minute private lesson $40.
